| Customer Reviews:
Excellent Grill Cover... if not exposed to water. August 12, 2008 This Weber grill cover is made of very sturdy, durable material and fits our Genesis EP-320 like a glove! The only potential downfall is that the cover has two mesh windows (purpose unbeknownst to me) located above the work surfaces on each side of the lid where water may seep through if exposed to rain. I use the word "potential" because if your grill is housed in a covered area (as is ours) this really isn't a problem at all. We're very happy with it and recommend it highly!!!
Weber 7553 Genesis Series Cover
Great Grill cover August 10, 2008 This fits the genisis grill perfectly. The only odd thing is it does have mesh on either side which does get the grill wet however this also keeps the air circultaing and prevents mold.
Don't buy this cover unless you want water puddles inside the grill August 3, 2008 Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews on Amazon before buying. I just "assumed" that the Weber grill cover was the one to use with my new grill. We had rain the same day I put on the cover...puddles of rain on the side burner sections; moisture on top of the grill. Who needs it. I did what others suggested here and elsewhere...I went to Home Depot and got the corresponding Charmglow cover for less $$ and no vents!
Bad design July 28, 2008 Avoid this grill cover if where you live there is rain or snow. The mesh vents are positioned poorly so that rain water will collect on the grills side burner, burner controls and electronic ignition!
Called Weber and their customer service rep gave me some run around about how it allows the cover to vent condensation away.. Of course had they designed it right I would not have to worry about a half gallon of water needing to evaporate off the grill.
Have used the cover now for over a month and one of the mesh vents already is coming lose from the cover. Looks as if the stitching is of sub par quality.
I would not have expected this experience from a Weber product. I own two of their grills, two sets of grill tools, mits, apron and charcoal starts all of which work great! However, this product is a complete failure and expensive one at that.
darn vents! July 19, 2008 The other reviewers are right - this is a really nice, well-made cover with a fatal flaw. The vents do not keep the rain out. No wonder all of our neighbors keep their grills in their garages.
