Stainless steel carbage can August 18, 2008 I wanted a hands free garbage can to use for recycling items. This is the perfect solution. It stays clean and it will hold a large amount of recyclables or garbage. I am still using the original batteries. The only thing I can say that is even close to a negative comment is that if you place it near a traffic pattern in your home, it will open every time someone walks by.
it A+ #1 on the hit parade. I love it. August 15, 2008 This trash can was easy to order and pay for. Delivery was fast and my hands free trash is is wonderful! I love it. Infrared automatic is great!
Canadians - do not order! August 15, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought this would be a novel product to have in my kitchen. I was thrilled when I ordered it. Trash can arrived by UPS and they charged me a $36.82 brokerage fee to bring it into Canada. When I got it home, it did not work. I sent it back UPS and it cost me $73.22 in shipping. Todays Concept gave me a real hassel with the return. I never got my monies back for brokerage fees and the cost to ship it back. I am out over $100.00 on this transaction. Canadians - live and learn.
Wall-E August 15, 2008 Wall-E...
yeah that's what we nicknamed our trash can. Its really great and makes funny noises when we open and close it. So we say its Wall-E lol.
Anyway, this is a nice can. The open close is great, no feet, no hands, no hassle. The batteries have lasted at least a month now (granted it did use huge D ones).
The only complain I could give this thing is the inside bag holder ring. You place the bad in, then put the plastic ring in to clamp down the bag, then you put the lid on. The plastic ring is sometimes a hassle to put in but I never had any major problems. You just have to remember to take it out first and also to put it in the right direction.
We had a foot push trash can before and it was wonderful, but this one is really better.
Works great as a diaper pail, too! August 7, 2008 I purchased this for my grandson's room before he was born. (DD and DGS live with us) Initially, my daughter had the Graco touchless diaper pail on her registry, and after having it home for all of 20 minutes, we soon realized it was a worthless piece of junk. We immediately returned it to the Baby store, and I started searching for a quality can in its' stead.
I found this one through another retail website, and my DH was very skeptical that this one would work any better than the Graco one.
After a year of heavy duty diaper pail use, I can happily report that it is still working flawlessly! It is so nice to just wave your hand and throw the dirty diaper in the pail. We put a stick up type air freshener just inside the lid, and have not had any major issues with stinky diaper pail smell! This has been a smart alternative to our original choice, and we are very happy! We highly recommend it for the nursery. iTouchless Stainless-Steel Hands-Free 13-Gallon Infrared Automatic Trash Can
