5 out of 5 stars My First iPod! :)   August 21, 2008
Hi folks. I have waited for years to try an iPod. I figured after 8 years, Apple should have all the bugs worked out by now. And for the most part they do. The sound of this iPod is great. You should be using Sony MDR headphones for the given quality of your music. I sample my mp3s into 256K, Normal Sterio, and NO VBR.

My iPod has never skipped a song. It always finishes the song clean and nice. The menus could use a little optimizing as they are sometimes skittish. But they eventually work great.

I give this iPod 5 stars for the sheer sound quality playback it gives. Great Job Apple. It is so nice to have an iPod. No more CDs! :)

4 out of 5 stars Ipod Classic160GB   August 21, 2008
I THINK THAT THE IPOD CLASSIC IS A REALLY GOOD IPOD. THEY CHANGED MANY DETAILS FROM THE LAST IPOD BUT IT ISN'T A VERY BIG DEAL. SOMETHING THAT I DON'T LIKE IS THAT YOU CAN'T ZOOM INTO PICTURES.

5 out of 5 stars I Love It! :D   August 20, 2008
I love my new ipod. my first ipod was the mini [first generation] and it stopped working within a year. there was nothing i could do about it, so i was pretty disappointed. i debated about whether to purchase this new ipod, [sixth generation] but decided to give it a shot. I've had it for a month now, and i love it! There's so much to do on there, that you won't be bored. I'm very satisfied with this product.

4 out of 5 stars IPOD Classic 80gb   August 20, 2008
After owning and being very happy with SANSA (Sandisk product)with the exception of not being able to add more than 2 gb storage. I purchased the IPOD 80gb classic. I was mildly dissapointed in that you have to use the i-tunes software to manage (store or remove)the media on the i-pod. Unlike the Sansa, the i-pod does not come with a built in am-fm radio. Overall, dollar for dollar, the i-pod (for storage and amount of media that can be stored) is the better of the two products. The software (in my opinion) from i-tunes is not very user friendly. I consider myself pretty computer savy, however this software has given me several unpleasant surprises by not knowing all the in's and out's of this software.

I can't add more than already written. It's a good product and I'm pleased with it. The price at Amazon was the lowest on the Internet with free shipping and no sales tax to pay.
