John Adams July 18, 2008 An outstanding summary of John Adams' life. Only McCullough's book can fill in the gaps the series could not cover. It is the most outstanding mini-series of the last several years.
John Adams July 18, 2008
A delightful and informative bit of our Nation's history that all Americans should see. As brilliant and intellectual as Benjamin Franklin was. . . .I never realized he was such a rascal. Also learned that both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on the same day (July 4th) within hours of each other. Incredible. Have recommended the video to family and friends.
Great American Hero July 18, 2008 I'm sure there were some liberties taken (pardon the pun) when shooting this movie, but I thought it was excellently done. The acting was terrific; Paul Giammati and Larua Linley did great character acting as John and Abigail Adams; they deserve Emmy awards for their performances. The supporting cast was terrific. I reccommend this highly.
John Adams July 17, 2008 This story was great, being from NH and going into MA to the places where everything took place . Then watching the movie it was just like I was there , going to Faniuel Hall standing in the same building that history took place, this movie was so real, I am glad I purchased this. Tom Hanks I think did a great job making everything so realistic.
John Adams HBO Series July 17, 2008 An excellent lesson in our great history. Acting was supurb. It doesn't take long to go through the DVDs because they are so interesting and exciting. Thank you David McCullough for all your hard work and your service to America for documenting so many important happenings in our country's founding. Thanks to all the actors and film makers who worked so expertly in bringing this film to the world. Everyone deserves an Oscar!
