4 out of 5 stars They'll never take our freedom!   January 20, 2008

Mel Gibson did a pretty good in this epic movie. I love these long, over done movies with big battle scenes. This movie had some of the most impressive battles in the history of film. The acting was very good but a little corny and sappy in alot of places. Still a very good film if you like long, epic war movies. Awesome battle scenes.

It took long enough to get a version of "Braveheart" with some added features. It has a perfect amount of features without overloading discs with stuff that I'd never watch.

The first noticeable thing is the picture quality. Much nicer than the transfer on the first DVD release. And, of course there is the directors commentary, which to me is all that is needed when it comes to special features. I usually watch the "Making of" and other added stuff just once, but commentary is what I really enjoy.

Thanks for this long awaited release. I've noticed that Bonnie & Clyde is getting a Special Edition work-over, which is over due. Next, I'm hoping for "Full Metal Jacket" and "Cool Hand Luke" done up with some special features and commentary.

5 out of 5 stars MUCH BETTER PICTURE QUALITY THAN THE FIRST RELEASE   December 27, 2007

The 1st. Braveheart release had this annoying flickering at the top of the screen every time it changed scenes. I'm thankful they came out with a release that doesn't have that problem, it's a great movie, it needs a great picture quality, which this release delivers.

There isn't much that I can add to review Braveheart other than to say how great of a movie it is. If you watch this movie and don't like it then there is something wrong with YOU and not with the movie!! Needless to say, I encourage everyone to add this movie to your collection!!
