Fun Cook Book May 11, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a simple, fun cook book for non-serious dieters. It's especially helpful for children's and young people who like "junk" food. It's very entertaining and has many easy substitutions that save calories. Don't get me wrong it's certainly worth buying !!!!!!!!
Fun and flavorful May 10, 2008 This is not your typical cookbook, very simple recipes that satisfy the sweet tooth. I use many of the recipes on a regular basis. It also has great suggestions for travel and work snacks.
Yumm! May 10, 2008 I just tried the chocolate cup cakes (death by chocolate cupcakes) and they were so good!!! They were so moist and pretty easy to make. The cup cake illuminated my craving immediately ! I have also tried the fiber one breaded onion rings which i was not too crazy about, but I found that I really like fiber one cereal though! This book is great and is a must try for any dieter or simply someone who wants to watch what they eat! Happy munching!
Cute but not that satisfying May 9, 2008 10 out of 13 found this review helpful
I am trying to lose a few pounds and came across this book recently. As far as cookbooks go, it is pretty lame. It relies on Splenda, fat free dairy products and fat free creamers. Whether these products are really healthy is open to debate. I cannot see myself making any of these faux convenience food items at all. pizza with an oatmeal and fiber cereal crust just sounds disgusting. I recommend the Weight Watchers and Zone cookbooks for something a little more tasty.
Am Weight Watchers Leader and love this book!!!! May 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is an excellent book for people looking to lose or maintain their weight and still be able to eat some of the foods we crave! I have tried several of them, my whole family loved them!!!
Of course, as with any lower fat/lower cal healthier cookbook/recipe---even some WW ones, Light & Tasty and Cooking Light, not all receipes are going to taste like full fat version we used to eat!!! These are great substitutions than can be very helpful to a lot of people looking to have help crossing over to the healthier-lighter side of life. Another nice feature is the smaller serving sizes that can also easily be double/tripled or more. Personally, I find it easier to figure out how to increase a recipe than decrease one. Thanks HG for making a book about all the things we, (in the world of Wt loss) think about eating, but are not sure how to pull together. Great investment!!!!! Love you HG!!!!!!
