okay, clif bars are good.
but they only cost a buck each at the grocery store
so why pay more here?
Great Dairy-free snack August 5, 2008
I absolutely love Clif bars. Since I developed an allergy to dairy it has been difficult to find good tasting snacks to keep me going between meals or when I'm out and can't find something safe to eat. Most other energy bars that I have seen use dairy derived ingredients. Maybe its just that I don't really remember what a real candy bar tastes like anymore, but I think these substitute quite nicely.
I never look at fat and calorie content of my food because i exercise everyday and am always on the go. The fat and calories in these bars come from natural sources like nuts so its the good fats and calories. These are a much healthier alternative to candy bars which are much higher in fat and calories.
Makes a perfect breakfast on the go! August 3, 2008
Don't get me wrong-I wish I could sit down to a big bowl of oatmeal or shredded wheat and some fruit every day for breakfast, but I just don't have time when I have to get up so early. So one of these Clif bars and a cup of tea or coffee is my breakfast in the car on the way to work (5 days a week). And they are fabulous for this. They are healthy, have good ingredients and taste great. They have lots of protein, fiber and most of them have a decent amount of "healthy" fats to keep me satisfied for several hours. Several flavors are good, but my favorite is Crunchy Peanut Butter.
Great energy bar July 30, 2008
These Clif Bars are great. They are a perfect snack to take on a long car trip. I do recommend that you store them in a cool place. I left one bar in a hot car and it did not taste good later. All the other bars, kept in a cool place, tasted great.
Clif Bar Energy Bars, Chocolate Brownie July 28, 2008
I didn't think that I would ever find an energy bar that I could honestly say that I really liked! In fact, I have tried many of the different flavors and have liked every one. But I am a chocolate head so this is one of my favorite flavors. It is also much cheaper to buy them this way than in the grocery store. Of course, you have to like that flavor because you will be eating alot of them. When I received them the boxes were pretty mangled but the bars were in okay shape. Great to keep in your purse of bag when you are not sure when you are going to be hungry or need a little something to tide you over till you next meal.
