Fantastic October 16, 2007 When it says track diagrams, it means track diagrams, absolutely fantastic book. The detail is truly amazing, showing track layouts for all stations, depots, yards and all points in between, well worth 8.95.
Wow! April 16, 2007 I also live in the South East and being interested in railways and how trains get from A to B I thought I would buy this book.
The title of my review is Wow! because that's what I said when I opened it! The detail and accuracy of the diagrams are outstanding even detailing what size trains (ie: number of coaches) can fit in each platform of every station.
If you like railways you'll love this!
Brilliant! November 11, 2002 17 out of 20 found this review helpful
This was the first Railway Track Diagrams book I had bought - I waited for it as I live in the South East. I was far from disappointed! Meticulously researched and wonderfully presented, it is pleasure to open the book. Astounding in its detail, it is enjoyable to view and plan routes or simply marvel at the accuracy to which the diagrams are drawn.
Extremely useful guide to Irish Railways December 13, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a very useful tool for visitors to the compact but fascinating Irish railway system. Not only are mainline railways indicated but the extensive network of bog railways (narrow guage, mainly 3 foot) are also included. The schematic aspects is generally very clear. One major aspect missed by the compiler is the doubling of the Clonsilla - Maynooth line but asides from this, I would highly recommend this book. It is excellent value and well worth buying.
excellent reference for railway enthusiasts April 13, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Again like the rest of the UK track diagrams, i found that the book is recommended for people who wish to know the mileage for any branch line in the former western region. Or for those who wish to look in awe at the track diagrams of the many locations.
