This is a well-executed piece of filming, and the camera position in the cab gives an excellent forward view. Inevitably, it does not cover all the Scottish lines, and the Kingdom of Fife appears to have disappeared: we move from the Forth Bridge almost immediately to the Tay Bridge! My only complaint is that I had to switch off my sub-woofer, as there is some stray low frequency noise, but once it was off the sound was excellent. If you love Scotland and railways, this is one you must have!
The only DVD you need about Scottish railways. October 29, 2001 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
This non technical film about Scotland's highland rail routes has got everything, steam, diesel and sprinters. It has views from the air, the cab and trackside. If you could only have one DVD about Scotland's railways - this is the one.
