VIDEO FUNCTION August 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
WITH FUJI xD M PICTURE CARDS I FOUND THAT THE VIDEO CLIPS ARE LIMITED TO 40 SECS AT A TIME IN MY OLYMPUS 570 UZ CAMERA; WHEREAS WITH THE OLYMPUS xD M+ PICURE CARD THE LIMIT IS HOW MUCH SPARE CAPACITY THERE IS LEFT ON THE CARD. ALSO PANAROMIC FUNCTION OF THE Olympus 2GB Type M XD Card with panorama function AVOIDS NEED TO MESS AROUND ON PC.
Don't be fooled... July 17, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Don't be fooled by the marketing, the special arty extra's and panorama features Olympus promotes are not worth having - you get a handful of tacky frames and messages to add to your photos e.g. Congratulations / Happy Birthday etc. Get any card so long as its fast and add effects or stitch photos together for panoramic shots on your PC.
Olympus 2GB Type M XD Card June 10, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Just received a second XD card, excellent product and worth having for the panoramic function with Olympus Cameras. A note on the postage, it may be 4.99 but even with that it's a bargain - less than 14 all in for something in the camera shops that retails for nearly 50
Great Panorama shots March 21, 2008 18 out of 20 found this review helpful
I recently bought an Olympus E 510 twin-lens kit and it came with a fairly slow 2 GB CF card. So I bought this... It works noticeably more quickly than the CF card and the panorama function is fantastic! Just plug the camera into PC via USB, and everything happens on its own with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6. The card-reading thing is a bit annoying (my lap-top recognises and reads it, but my desk-top does not), but that is easily overcome with the USB transfer. The card does what it says and - so long as your camera is compatible - then you need have no worries. The panorama function is far more than the gimmick I thought it would be and does produce astonishing results with little or no fiddling.
