 Perfect fit for Ixus 55 November 21, 2005

I bought this case for a Canon Ixus 55 camera and its a perfect fit. It protects the camera screen from getting scratched and is slightly reinforced on the sides to keep the camera safe, its also padded.
A must buy if you plan on purchasing a Ixus 55 camera or any of the other Ixus range (40 or 50).

Nice, sturdy, but too big. I spent the cash to get a small camera, with the priority on size over almost anything else, and decided that a "soft leather case" would be ideal to protect it from scratches without taking up much extra room. However, the leather is quite thick, and is reinforced with cardboard and padded with felt. It doubles the thickness of the camera, and adds a centimeter or so to the length and width. Personally, it's next to useless to me.

I have an IXUS 50, and this case fits it perfectly, with the camera being very easy to take out and put back in, especially when attched to a belt.I'm only giving it 4 out of 5 stars however, as it is missing 1 vital feature - an extra pocket for an additional battery pack, which they could easily have fitted via an expandable pocket, to not expand the case size too much. As it is however, as long as you charge the battery before use, it shouldn't make too much difference.
