 ZIP FASTENER BROKEN September 27, 2008
BOUGHT IN JUNE TO ACCOMMODATE MY TOM TOM 530. GOOD FIT BUT ZIP FASTENER HAS JUST SNAPPED AND IS VERY FLIMSY. FOR THIS REASON I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Having read the majority of the comments I really didn't bother with this case. However having shelled out the best part of 300 for the device I wanted some protection for it when it it wasn't in use. I looked at the alternatives, and to be honest none of them really appealed for one reason or another and I kept on returning to this case. With a heavy heart and a feeling of foreboding I felt that I had no choice and ordered it.
I am so pleased that I did. The case certainly fits the GO730 like a glove, but it is not as tight fitting as to interfere with the zip fastening. The zip seems robust and functions perfectly around the case...even the corners. I guess that there has been some kind of redesign? None of the criticisms on this page are valid with regard to the case that I bought.

As so many others have discovered, the Zipper on this case is inferior quality and fails after only a few months. Save your cash and look for an alternative.

I bought this for my TomTom 720 and at first it worked well, looked nice and fitted like a glove. However, after about 3 months, the material had started to fray against the zip which meant that the zip jammed everytime I opened it. Then the puller on the zip broke and I had to use my fingernails to push the zip back and forwards. I am looking for an alternative case now.
I guess that if you will only be using the sat nav a few times a week or month then the case would be fine but I use the sat nav several times a day and so the case got some pretty intensive use.

I've had this case for three months, and was very pleased with it, as it provides good protection for my Go 520, and is neat and good-looking. I don't use the TomTom daily (perhaps once a week), and now the zip tag has come off, as the attachment to the zip is very flimsy. I've tightened it, but it keeps coming off, and I don't think there is any remedy. I shall return it to Amazon, but don't know whether a replacement will be any better, and I'm very disappointed.
