Oh dear. What a terrible way to go! Well, Eric hated it and so did the rest of us. It's like watching two geriatrics shuffle about trying to make the best of some truly crap material. I remember watching it back in 1984 and thinking 'this isn't funny. At all.' I was 8 at the time and a huge M & W fan. I've never had the urge to see it again. Ruggish!

This was the last piece of work from Morecambe and Wise and was originally broadcast after Eric Morecambe's death in 1984. It's largely been forgotten which is a great shame as it has some wonderful moments and there's a great warmth to the humour that you don't see very often these days. It's not perfect but it's essential for any M&W fan to see.

4 out of 5 stars Not quite a classic but....   November 23, 2003

having been a fan of these two for a long time, I have only just watched this one of theirs. Good fun and entertaining, however, I can not rate it as highly as their other 3 movies. It may grown on me after watching 50 times like the others, Worth watching to understand their level of apeal to all persons of all ages.
