I love every area of Scotland, however the Highlands have a special place in my heart. I remember the brilliant holidays spent in the 60's when as a child my parents travelled over the highlands in a small van, along with a tent, we sometimes slept in the van. These holidays spent travelling over Sutherland to Lochinver and also in Gairloch in Wester Ross indelibly impressed on me a love for Scotland and the Scottish Highlands, especially our wild areas. I hope my website will help you fall in love with Scotland - so take the time to visit as a friend of mine said "the real thing is a lot better". You do not need a lot of money as there is many low cost hostels throughout Scotland, or you can just do what we did when I was young, travel around with a tent! Of course we do have world class hotels, top quality holiday cottages and bed and breakfast to suit all pockets and budgets. |
