Scotland Adventure Holidays

Even experienced hill walkers can find Scottish hills tricky and if you are visiting Scotland for the first time or simply want to see the best walks then we suggest you use a professional Scottish hill walking guide such as Lindsay Boyd. You can contact him by telephone on +44 (0)1224 326925 (24 hours) or by mobile +44 (0) 7814 057719 and by e-mail hilltreks@yahoo.co.uk

Scotland Culross

Scotland has thousands of unique places to visit including the historical village of Culross in Fife. We also have dramatic mountains where you can have extreme adventure.

Scotland has wildlife everywhere. If you visit the correct places you will be able to see sea eagles, golden eagles, ospreys, swans, dolphins, whales, wild goats, otters and many more animals in their natural habitat.

Our wild flowers are beautiful and for the photographer and naturalist you will always find something interesting and unusual in flower.

Even in the rain Scotland looks beautiful. When you visit Scotland you will experience different weather conditions, even in summer. So come prepared and bring clothes to suit all weathers. You will then be able to enjoy your trip and see Scotland in all weather conditions - you will be amazed at how different the same landscape looks in the rain and mist (mysterious and haunting) and in bright glorious sunshine.

Dunkeld Perthshire

Visit Dunkeld - We recently had a trip to Birnham and Dunkeld and loved every minute. Dunkeld is on the banks of the River Tay, famous for Salmon and wonderful scenery. The town of Dunkeld must have some of the most beautiful scenery and I love taking pictures from the bridge over the Tay. From this slightly raised position you can take pictures of the town and the cathedral.

We then had a great lunch outdoors at the Taybank in the glorious April sunshine overlooking the Tay, with the view of the arched bridge and the picture postcard scenery of the hills beyond. The Taybank is also well known for it's music nights and Scottish folk music, you can find a list of the Taybank music events for 2007 on their website. You can also see our picture of Taybank.

Dunkeld is in Perthshire, a short drive from one of Scotlands most attractive cities, Perth and on the way to the north of Scotland and the beautiful and wild Scottish Highlands.

Scotland is a country where you can spend a lifetime and still not discover everything, have you for example been to the Scottish Highlands or boarded a ferry and visited one of the many Scottish Islands - Orkney, Arran, The Hebrides, Shetland; if not then make 2007 the year to take the trip of a lifetime and discover Scotland, your heritage, and the wonderful countryside and wild places throughout Scotland.

Thousands of people each year discover Scotland for the first time and wish they have come sooner. We hope that you will decide to take the trip and find out for yourself the country we are proud of. You are welcome to use our pictures of Scotland on your website or blog, or send us pictures you have taken and tell us how much you love Scotland, we will do our best to add them to Visitor Scotland for other people to enjoy.

On Visitor Scotland you can also use our online Google Scotland Map to find places throughout Scotland and and the rest of the world as it is also a World Map as well, all you need to do is zoom out a little. We plan to add interactive directories of some of the best and also some of the least known websites on Scotland where you can arrange your Scottish holiday vacation. Please note we are not affiliated with these travel sites, no one pays to get listed, we do this for free as a way of promoting Scotland. We do have commercial advertising on the website to help pay for our server etc and hopefully you will find the adverts helpful when you plan your holiday.
